SabakaSabaka was not a lab or even a lab mix. But he was and still is my heart and soul. I found him on the side of the road one sunday morning in Aug1991. He was just 6 or so months old, I tryed so hard to find him a home. It just wasn't meant to be, he was my boy from the start. He was always at my side. He is the only dog I have ever know who actually said Woof when he barked.
No matter what happened he was always there with a happy wag-a-tail butt. Even in the end when he was so sick that he couldn't even stand on his own. We had to see the vet everyday and he never even looked at them when they had to stick him with needles or other not so great things.
I miss you so much my best boy.
He suffered a stroke in Feb 06 3 weeks to the day that Golly came home. I will always be a little sad that he could have met his little brother.

I'm really glad you posted, too. I didn't know what happened to him and now I do. You were lucky to have him, but he was sooo lucky to have you, too. He couldn't have been loved more. And nothing else matters. I love his picture, too.

Thank you Mary, I believe that I was so lucky he picked me the day I found him on that street corner. He was and is a very special boy and taught me so much. His last year was not easy for him, due to the cushing syndrom, but no matter how painful he was he never complained or gave up. Not even on his last day in Feb when the stroke hit, he came to get me and let me lift him in to the truck, before he gave in to any of the discomfort.
He truly was my super dog.
