Here is a picture of a stray that lives around my office. I dont know what happened to its leg, whether it was severed or born this way. There is about 4 inches of bone protruding from the flesh. I feel so bad for it and of course the locals could care less.

| poor sweet kid. I am always amazed at how strong stray/wild dogs are when they get a major injurys, they show very little pain and just keep going on with life. |

| They truly are amazing. I'm always in awe of animals like this. Whether born like this or was an injury, they adjust and keep going. Wish I had that much acceptance and grace. |

That is so sad! It would kill me to see that. I get teary eyed when I see a raccoon or possum that got hit laying on the side of the road. But to see that, I'd be crying. We complain about animal rights in this country (because we are so humane and caring), but just thinking about foreign countries!
Years ago when I was in Saudi Arabia, I worked the midnight shift and would go outside and smoke (the good old days). There would be cats all over the place. We were told "don't feed them or pet them, they are diseased". Well, I used to open up MRE's and feed them all. They let me pet them and everything. Poor things. Of course, they kept coming back every night looking for me! _________________

It was really hard for me over there, I wanted to save them all. That batch of puppies that Jasper belonged to was my ending point. The so called rescue over there said they would take them if I could keep them till they were 3 months old, then they could go to Germany as farm dogs. Well we caught 4 of them and that place wanted 500LE for each pup, that was like 100bucks apeice. Now in the beginning when I talked to them they said nothing about money. So we had to put them back out on the streets because I was flying out a week later. It killed me I cryed for days. Then there were the kittens, that was just as bad, there were a couple of families that feed them everyday outside our apartment, so they were the lucky ones.
